Our Mission Statement

Motion Matrix Gym & Learn PLUS offers an activity based learning environment that also focuses on enrichment activities such as Spanish, manners, life and social skills, PLUS! Our goal is to provide each student experiences that stimulate, assist, support and sustain emerging skills. The importance of a healthy lifestyle through physical fitness will be introduced. We maintain a small student to teacher ratio in order to maximize young children’s learning and development, and ultimately, provide each child a unique foundation for current and future school success.

Our Facility

Our learning environment resides inside a 22,000 square foot fully equipped USA Gymnastics Member Club. Our experienced and safety-minded staff provide a foundation of knowledge & skills within a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Gym & Learn PLUS is a recorded program through the Oregon Office of Child Care. Our staff are background checked as required through the State of Oregon and USA Gymnastics.

As a USA Gymnastics member club, Motion Matrix participates in USA Gymnastics’ “We Care” campaign to help prevent child abuse and sexual assault on children.

Meet Our Teachers

Head Teacher:
Dakota Deere

Miss Dakota (aka Coach Dakota) began her career at Motion Matrix in 2006 as a competitive gymnast and started coaching gymnastics at age 16. She completed all four years of the Child Development program at GPHS and is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education through the University of Phoenix. Dakota is an integral part of the operations of Motion Matrix and has experience in every area of our program, including special needs. Her son, Teddy, has Cystic Fibrosis as well as Type 1 Diabetes, and that unique challenge has provided her an opportunity to grow her knowledge and experience beyond her physical years. We embrace Dakota as the perfect fit to run our Gym & Learn Program! Miss Dakota is excited to be partnering with Miss Marnie to provide the very best active environment for learning in Grants Pass!

Teacher/Front Desk:

Marnie Girodat

Miss Marnie has been the kid’s favorite cuddler/substitute grandma and teacher, and favorite greeter for our programs for five years! With eight grandchildren of her own, her caring and warm character are magnetic; parents and kiddos are naturally drawn to her. Miss Marnie keeps everyone happy and on task while being our constant “Jill of all Trades.” She provides a wealth of experience and knowledge to our preschool program and is the perfect match to partner with Miss Dakota in leading our activity-based program, and guiding our students to greatness!

Motion Matrix Owner:

Lisa Austin

Lisa has been involved in the childcare business since 1991, is a step 8 with the Oregon Registry, and has successfully operated a gymnastics facility since 2008. Under her direction, Motion Matrix has become an excellent Children's Activity Center and community employer. The development of Gym & Learn PLUS is one of Lisa’s prideful accomplishments as it is a one of a kind children's preschool program in our community.
